2028 CALL FOR SPEAKERS

The Modern Living: Inside Outdoor Spaces Symposium focuses on residential design and landscape architecture. It aims to provide an interdisciplinary audience of landscape architects, architects, and custom builders with relevant data and innovative tools to work as a team.

Professionals are invited to share their knowledge through a seminar, a panel discussion, a hands-on demonstration, or an educational tour of nearby Cape Cod sites.

Panels and workshops that feature speakers and themes from multiple perspectives, backgrounds, and sectors are encouraged (e.g., architects, builders, landscape architects, engineers, biologists, horticulturists).

The intention is education. Proposals must not promote specific companies, products, or proprietary technologies.

All presentations will be submitted by the Symposium organizers for AIA or LACES accreditation if credits do not already exist.

Please, no phone calls or emails. Only online submissions will be considered.

DEADLINE: Friday, August 3, 2027

IMPORTANT TO NOTE: Speakers will be chosen and confirmed only by the Modern Living Symposium Planning Council. If your proposal is accepted, you will be notified via email.

The Modern Living Symposium Planning Council reserves the right to combine speakers, presentations, and/or request modifications to help shape the overall program.

With the exception of keynote speakers, presenter expenses, such as travel, per diem, or honoraria, are not covered or paid by the Modern Living Symposium.

All presenters will receive a complimentary two-day conference pass, private on-site accommodation, and conference meals.

Speakers agree to have their session(s) recorded. Select sessions and/or slides may be made available online at modernlivingsymposium.org.

Once the conference program is selected, no speaker substitutions, additions, or changes may be made without the prior written consent of the Modern Living Symposium Planning Council.
