Permeability refers to the ability of fluids to pass through materials, such as rocks, gravel, or sand. Permeable requirements have been changing design, products, and installation procedures around the country for decades. We here in the Northeast are starting to see permeable requirements for any new paving areas. Water management is something that all of us in the industry need to understand, and permeability brings up many questions for designers and installers.

This presentation will focus on the permeability in hardscape projects. From paving design to installation there are many options on how to create the perfect permeable project with the combination of beauty and function. There will be a focus on the future of permeability and the younger generation entering the hardscape, landscape, and masonry industry.
